nearly a decade ago at this point, a woman named Elicia met a man named Maxwell. Maxwell was enchanted with her quiet observations, calm strength, and morbid sense of humor. Elicia believed he was crazy, funny, but crazy, and quite an unlikely match, but she was curious about his creative, nurturing, yet rebellious demeanor. Maxwell attempted to court Elicia, (in a not-so-serious way for many years) Elicia kept pushing him away, telling him he was not taking her seriously enough, and to come back when he grew up. However, over the years they became close friends, watching each other go through ups and downs and caring for each other. One day, Maxwell finally decided he was in a place to commit and they began to date. Quite immediately, a horrible sickness came upon the world, that caused much turmoil, and both of their lives started to become very distant and distraught. Thus, they fell apart. After a few years, they realized how much they missed each other's friendship, and started becoming close friends once again. After some time, they realized that no one else could understand or appreciate the other's quirkiness as much as they did with each other, and though they are a very unlikely pair to the outside world, they found great solace in one another, the most trusting friend, dance partner, joke teller, and deepest love. We thank you all for your patience along our crazy journey, and hope that you will join us in joining our lives!

All events are happening at Max's mother's property at: 1 Hog Creek LaneEast Hampton, NY 11937 If flying in:The best avenue is to fly into JFK, or LGA airports, (though Newark airport is also not too far away either) You can rent a car from the airport and drive to Hog Creek, but the following are options as well. Though, if you want to enjoy the sites of Long Island, renting a car would be wise, but also not needed if you just want to do things within walking distance. You will just have to call an uber/taxi from the train/bus!

Location

Coming from NYC, one can easily take the LIRR Railroad. The main stations are Penn Station in Manhattan, and Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn. There is also an easy way to connect from JFK Airport via JFK's shuttle train to the Jamaica stop. Take the train to either East Hampton, or Ammagansett stops, and then you will either have to call an Uber, or local cab.

LIRR

Taking a bus is also an option, but they typically only pick you up on the upper east side of Manhattan, and get off at East Hampton, or Ammagansett, and then you'd need to call an uber.

Camping!

We are working with this company for glamping tents that provide proper mattresses and lighting! So, we are planning on creating a tiny glamping village, with access to outdoor showers, an outhouse, and port-a-potties. The company has different options, with queen-sized beds, some with two queens or twins in one tent. So let us know if this would be a good option for you! They will be pitched on the 24th, and taken down on the 28th. The website below is how to reserve them for our party!

This property has been very special in Elly and Max's relationship.One could say, it was the thing that brought a little bit of sanity to the once 'Colorado' Elly, and Max has too many stories to tell about the land! We lived here full-time during the most hectic time of the Covid shutdown. And have spent far too many days and nights sitting on bluff in sun, rain, and blizzard, while talking and watching the waves, stars, moon, and double rainbows; jumping into the water and swimming to the rock/raft, going for walks to Gerard's Point, or walking to Clearwater Marina, and going for a morning walk before remote work while listening to "The Daily". HISTORY:Max and Oliver's mother bought this property in the 70's when Springs was not overrun by wealthy New Yorker's. Prior to her buying the property it was a girl's camp named, Fire Place Lodge, that ran from 1936-1972. Many years before, Indigenous peoples used the land as a burial ground. Now, most of the land is protected by the Acabonic Land Trust, which protects pockets of land on Long Island. The island across the bay, Gardiner's Island, was bought by Lion Gardiner in 1639, and has stayed protected and in the Gardiner family ever since. No one besides the Gardiner family decedents are allowed on the island to this day. (We almost tried, but too many cameras!) ACTIVITIES:Though there is plenty to do within walking distance, there are many things we have enjoyed over the years that are still just as outdoorsy and active. Two of our favorite walks are: 'The Walking Dunes', and the 'Fish Factory'. Both can be accessed from the same parking lot. (link below!) We also have enjoyed mountain biking in Hither Hills, or Camp Hero State Park, and there are a few more biking paths as well, just ask! Beaches that are not usually too over-whelmed during July: Little Albert's Beach, and Maidstone Park Beach. These are bay beaches, thus not big waves unless it's windy, and kid friendly. If you are up for exploring the crowds, any beach on the Atlantic side are good bets for waves, but some are better if you are looking to surf. (Ditch Plains in Montauk is the best for surfing!) There are some places to rent boards or bikes, but you may need to book them in advance!

There is a show up this year by Jill Platner, a jeweler and sculptor (that Elly used to work for ) hanging in the trees like fairies. The reserve is very peaceful and beautiful if you like going for walks in a beautiful arboretum with trees!

One can rent mountain bikes, or simply go for a walk. There are many different entrances to the park, some paths are a little more strenuous than others!
